Today, manufacturing companies gather massive amounts of information through measurement and inspection. When this measurement data is being used to make decisions regarding the process and the business in general, it is vital that the data is accurate. If there are errors in your measurement system, you will be making decisions based on incorrect data or producing non-conforming parts. A properly planned and executed Measurement System Analysis (MSA) can help build a strong foundation for any data-based decision-making process. That is the entire purpose of clause 7.1.5.1.1 Measurement system analysis in IATF 16949.

What is a Measurement System?

Before we dive further into MSA, we should review the definition of a measurement system and some of the common sources of variation. A measurement system has been described as a system of related measures that enables the quantification of particular characteristics. It can also include a collection of gauges, fixtures, software and personnel required to validate a particular unit of measure, or make an assessment of the feature or characteristic being measured. The sources of variation in a measurement process can include the following:

  • Process – test method, specification
  • Personnel – the operators, their skill level, training, etc.
  • Tools/Equipment – gauges, fixtures, test equipment used, and their associated calibration systems
  • Items to be measured – the part or material samples measured, the sampling plan, etc.
  • Environmental factors – temperature, humidity, etc.

All of these possible sources of variation should be considered during MSA. Evaluation of a measurement system should include the use of specific quality tools to identify the most likely source of variation. Most MSA activities examine two primary sources of variation: the parts and the measurement of those parts. The sum of these two values represents the total variation in a measurement system.

An effective MSA process can help assure that the data being collected is accurate and the system of collecting the data is appropriate to the process. Good reliable data can prevent wasted time, labor and scrap in a manufacturing process. A good example of this was a major manufacturing company which began receiving calls from several of their customers. The customers reported non-compliant materials received at their facilities sites. The parts were not properly snapping together to form an even surface or would not lock in place. The process was audited and found that the parts were being produced out of spec. The operator was following the inspection plan and using the assigned gauges for the inspection. The problem was that the gauge did not have adequate resolution to detect the non-conforming parts. An ineffective measurement system can allow bad parts to be accepted and good parts to be rejected. These errors result in dissatisfied customers and excessive scrap. MSA could have prevented the problem and ensured that accurate useful data was being collected.

How to Perform MSA

MSA is a collection of experiments and analyses performed to evaluate a measurement system’s capability, performance and amount of uncertainty regarding the values measured. We should review the measurement data being collected and the methods and tools used to collect and record the data. Our goal is to quantify the effectiveness of the measurement system, analyze the variation in the data and determine its likely source. We need to evaluate the quality of the data being collected in regards to location and width variation. Collected data should be evaluated for bias, stability and linearity.

During an MSA activity, the amount of measurement uncertainty must be evaluated for each type of gauge or measurement tool defined within the process Control Plans. Learn more about Control Plans in the article How to Develop a Control Plan According to IATF 16949. Each tool should have the correct level of discrimination and resolution to obtain useful data. The process, the tools being used (gauges, fixtures, instruments, etc.) and the operators are evaluated for proper definition, accuracy, precision, repeatability and reproducibility.

Overall Objective of MSA

A measurement system is a process by which we assign a number to a characteristic of a product or service. The first step in assessing a system is to understand this process, and determine whether it will satisfy our requirements.

The data collected using a measurement system is used:

  • To control processes
  • In estimating the existence of the relationship between variables that can affect the outcome of a process
  • To conduct analytical studies to increase the knowledge about the system of causes and its effect on processes
  • To focus on measurement systems where readings can be repeated on each part, and reproduced by different operators.

A measurement is not always exact. Measurement system variation affects individual measurements and decisions based on data. Measurement system errors are classified into five categories: bias, repeatability, reproducibility, stability, and linearity. You need to know the extent of variation before deciding on the following applications.

ISO 9001 Requirements Clause 7.1.6 Organizational knowledge (OK)

OK has been recognized as a vital business asset. It is specific to each organization and can be used as a powerful tool to gain competitive advantage. Many organizations now identify, capture, internalize and leverage relevant OK as an important business strategy. The many ways OK can be used to add value to an organization include:

· Improving products, services and QMS processes.

· Improving employee training and performance.

· Reducing business and QMS risks.

· Making more informed decisions about courses of action.

· Anticipating, understanding and adapting to trends and changes in its business environment.

· Exploiting existing and acquired knowledge assets.

· Developing new opportunities.

· Leveraging OK to gain competitive advantage. Teleport for mac.

· Promoting a learning environment to further stimulate creation of new knowledge.

Your organization must determine and manage the OK necessary for the operation of QMS processes and to achieve conformity of product and services.

Requirements regarding OK were introduced for the purpose of:

· Safeguarding the organizational knowledge from loss of knowledge, e.g.

· Through staff turnover;

· Failure to capture and share information;

· Loss or theft by personnel or outsiders.

· Encouraging the organization to acquire knowledge, e.g.

· Learning from experience;

· Mentoring;

· Benchmarking;

· Building relationships with relevant interested parties.

OK is generally of two types;

· Explicit knowledge – that which can be written down, transferred, and shared. It is definable and can be protected by the legal system;

Winclone 6 1 2 – clone your boot camp partitioning

· Tacit knowledge – is know-how that is usually hard to describe. It can be demonstrated but difficult to document as it resides in the minds of employees. It become evident through performance and on-the-job training.

What is organizational knowledge (OK)?

It can be defined as information combined with experience, context, interpretation, and insight that is useful in making decisions and taking action specific to your organization and QMS. Such information includes:

· Specific technical and procedural information required to produce conforming products and services and for controlling QMS processes needed to produce them. These may include product and service specifications, drawings, process flow diagrams, product and process steps, criteria, work instructions, or verbal instructions, etc.

· Novel, unique, highly creative and innovative ways of doing things that are formally encoded in business processes, practices, methods, etc.

· Lessons learned from past failures, near miss situations and successes,

· Capturing undocumented knowledge (explicit and tacit) and experience that resides within the minds of employees and employee groups,

· Developed or acquired knowledge – patents, practices, technologies, research & development,

· The results of research and improvement projects for products, services, processes and business practices,

· Knowledge of markets, competitors, customers, suppliersand interested parties, e tc,

· Knowledge acquired through consultants, conferences, universities, research institutes, etc, on best practices or to resolve specific business and QMS problems,

This article is an extract from my eCourse “Understanding ISO 9001:2015”. The rest of the discussion on organizational knowledge in my eBook focuses on the specific actions that your organization must take to address this requirement

An ISO 7 clean room (Class 10,000 cleanroom) is a hard-sided wall manufactured facility that utilizes HEPA filtration systems to maintain air cleanliness levels of a maximum of 10,000 particles (≥0.5µm) per cubic foot. Class 10,000 cleanroom filtration systems must provide filter coverage of 15-25% and – a minimum of 60 air changes per hour. The standard air flow rate for an ISO 7 filtration system is 9-16 CFM per square foot.

ISO 7 Cleanroom Standards

Classification for cleanrooms ranges from ISO 1 to ISO 9, with ISO 9 being the “dirtiest” and ISO 1 being the “cleanest.” These classifications are assigned based on the maximum allowable concentration of particles per cubic foot or meter of air. ISO class 7 clean rooms were previously defined under US Federal Standard 209E but are now defined under ISO 14644-1, however, both are still regularly used as reference points.

Studies 1 7 7 Iso
  • US Federal Standard 209E: denotes the number of particles (≥0.5 µm or larger) per cubic foot (f³) of air.
  • ISO 14644-1: replaced federal standard 209E in 2001 but is still used as a reference. It denotes the number of particles (≥0.1µm to ≥5µm or more) per cubic meter (m³) of air.

ISO 7 Cleanroom Protective Requirements

Class 10,000 cleanrooms require workers to wear fewer protective garments than cleanrooms with a lower classification but still require the use of cleanroom clothing such as face masks, hair and beard covers, and lab coats or other frocks to cover street clothing. In some ISO7 cleanrooms, coveralls and gloves may also be required. Cleanroom clothing is made from nonwoven fabrics to prevent contamination from shedding material fibers. Gloves are sterile and made from latex, nitrile or other synthetic materials.

Depending on industry and application requirements, other precautionary measures may be taken to control particle count in an ISO 7 cleanroom environment. Sticky mats are often placed outside of cleanroom entrances to remove dirt and other contaminants from shoes. Pass-thru cabinets fitted with filtration systems may also be used to safely transfer products while limiting the number of people entering and exiting the room.

Studies 1 7 7 Iso Bootable

Cleanroom requirements vary widely based on industry standards and the type of processes being performed. Always consult with a cleanroom professional for assistance in selecting the design and classification that are best suited for your application. Common ISO 7 clean room requirements include:

  • Product pass thru’s
  • HEPA fan filters
  • Heat welded vinyl or epoxy floors
  • Gowning atrium
  • Air locks
  • Air conditioners
  • Entrance and exit sticky mats
  • Sealed lighting
  • Bunny suit, booties, and hood requirements
  • Stainless steel bench and hands free sink

How to Determine the Correct Cleanroom Classification Based on Your Needs?

A typical cleanroom is designed to keep outside contaminants and particles at a minimum based on the ISO clean room standards. Once fully built and operational, an isolated cleanroom is free from outside particles and contamination. However, the two things that can introduce particles and contamination into your cleanroom are people and processes.

Photo to sketch pro 4 serial number. Classification for cleanrooms ranges from ISO 1 to ISO 9, with ISO 9 being the “dirtiest” and ISO 1 being the “cleanest.” These classifications are assigned based on the maximum allowable concentration of particles per cubic foot or meter of air. The lower the ISO class the more stringent the requirements for keeping particles and contamination to the acceptable levels of the room class.

As an example, Class 10,000 cleanroom filtration systems must provide filter coverage of 15-25% and – a minimum of 60 air changes per hour. The standard air flow rate for an ISO 7 filtration system is 9-16 CFM per square foot. The chart below provides an explanation of the differences between our clean room classes.

ISO 7 Cleanroom Applications

ISO 7 clean rooms provide air cleanliness levels of a maximum of 10,000 particles (≥0.5µm) per cubic foot and a minimum of 60 air changes per hour. Industries that utilize ISO 7 cleanrooms include:

  • Laboratories
  • Aerospace product development

Apollo One 2 03 – Feature Rich Media Viewer Online

The Multimedia team in the Reading department at the Wikimedia Foundation builds features that enable easier contributions and viewing of multimedia content to Wikimedia projects.

Here are our main user-facing projects at this time:

We invite you to join the community discussion on Structured Data for Commons — How can we bring machine-readable data to Commons with Wikidata? Please share your feedback on this talk page.

Goals[edit]

Rationale[edit]

Multimedia enables users to learn about the world in vastly different ways than text articles. We believe that images, sounds and videos are key to engaging more users and supporting their diverse learning styles, as modern culture shifts towards more audio-visual than textual information delivery.

To better serve our users in this changing information landscape, we can greatly improve the educational value of our sites by empowering everyone to share media, collaborate on improving that media, and using that media well throughout Wikipedia, Commons, and MediaWiki sites. Goals[edit]

Apollo One 2 03 – Feature Rich Media Viewer Free

See the 'Multimedia' sections of the sub-pages of Wikimedia Engineering/2016-17 Goals.

Current projects[edit]

The Multimedia team is now focusing on these near-term projects:

  • Upload Wizard and cross-wiki uploading
  • Better tools for image reviewers to respond new uploads
  • ImageTweaks for non-destructive image editing (prototyping)
  • Structured Data (in collaboration with Wikimedia Deutschland; currently working on the FileAnnotations system and Content Streams)
  • Critical bugs in multimedia-related infrastructure (e.g. image scalers, video transcoding, etc.)
Viewer

Inactive and semi-active projects[edit]

Projects that are not actively developed at the moment: Productive pedagogy.

  • Media Viewer (development of 0.2 finished; see retrospective and research report; now the responsibility of the Reading department)

Team Documentation[edit]

Phab Process[edit]

  • The Multimedia team follows a Kanban-like approach, continuously starting and resolving work in small increments and focusing on alleviating bottlenecks.
  • The Structured Data Backlog board is the team's primary backlog. Theoretically, it represents all work for which the team is responsible ('one source of truth'), in a 'to-do' state, with categories for the work ('Triaged', 'Next up', etc). It is triaged, curated, and managed by the team's Product Manager, who also queues up work for the dev team.
    • There is a Phabricator Herald rule that facilitates capturing tasks that were not manually added to the backlog. The team should update this rule whenever they create a new Phabricator tag.
    • The team also uses tags for individual products/projects, such as SDC-Depicts. There may additionally be Milestones (special combination column/projects) focusing on specific releases or batches of work.
  • The Current Work board, a Milestone of the backlog, is where all in-progress development happens. The dev team is responsible for managing this board, and radiating out information about the state of assigned tasks. As tasks are resolved here, they are also resolved anywhere else on Phab (e.g. the backlog), thanks to Phab's task-mirroring feature.
  • The Structured Data Design board is the home of the Structured Data team's tasks in design prep. It is also not part of the Herald rule, as it is an exception because of the unique nature of the tasks. The team trusts that the tasks will be surfaced to them when ready.

  • A holding (title) in an LSH database may not be discoverable in Summon. For a journal, if the title and ISSN do not match what exist in a corresponding 360 KB authority record (assuming the title does exist in 360 KB), then Summon may not recognize the title and will not grant access to citations for the title. This is because titles in an LSH do not undergo the process of normalizing to existing authority titles in 360 KB. Normalization is important for Summon, as it allows Summon to assign stable identifiers from the authority records in 360 KB to citations in Summon. If a title is not normalized, then it uses a non-normalized identifier, which can lead to inaccurate results or absent results.
  • ProQuest does not create 360 Link: Available Target Linking-Syntaxes ('Linkers') for titles in LSH databases. If an LSH provides users (patrons) with the rights to see a citation in Summon, users will not see an article-level link for the result. It is a priority for Credo that our system is accessible to all types of users, and we have designed Credo Reference to be used effectively by people with disabilities. In February 2009, we completed an accessibility evaluation of Credo and made a number of updates. Credo now meets all of the relevant W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Priority 1 and Priority 2 checkpoints and is in compliance with Section 508 of the ADA.

A few of the changes that we made for accessibility:

• Each page on Credo has hyperlinks specifically placed to enable users with screen readers to skip common navigation elements of our pages and jump to a page's main content.

• Provided <link> relationships to the headers of pages to permit automated navigation to deep pages which helps screen readers navigate the site.

• Provided a narrative sitemap that describes pages within Credo to users who cannot see them.

• Included text equivalents for images, charts and graphs.

• Enabled keyboard controls for the Credo Concept Map.

This is challenging in other databases as well; however, we figured out that in Ebsco, using headings to navigate, it is necessary to go through a large number of somewhat confusingly worded headings to get to the results, which are a level 3 heading.

E-JOURNAL PACKAGES

  • Sage Journals Online (5/2010 Adina Mulliken)

Sage has filled out a VPAT form explaining how they comply with Section 508, which you can request from them. It says that some criteria they do not yet support are that skip navigation links are not embedded in html pages, they are currently adding row and column headers to tables, and 'Scripting is not used to create user interface elements in most cases. Javascript is used to hide/display some elements on a custom search page.'

OTHER

  • Libguides (information as of 12/2008 Adina Mulliken)

Libguides has filled out a 'Voluntary Product Evaluation Template (VPAT)' which details accessibility of the product. You can request it from Libguides. They do not claim to be Section 508 compliant.

Strategies/experiences evaluating resources

Philip Springall Information Specialist CNIB Library, (4/2009)

We’ve found, as you’ve noted, that one of the things that’s missing from a lot of these products is an accessibility audit or accessibility test. It’s fine for them to fill out a VPAT or say that they are 508 compliant but the true test of accessibility, at least from what we’ve found, is whether or not someone with a disability can use their product. A lot of vendors are making a move towards accessibility by filling in VPAT’s but user testing is a critical next step.

Webcredible in the UK has an interesting piece on accessiblity audits vs. accessibility testing. It’d be hard to convince a vendor to do either of these but if they have done them it’s a very good sign…

(12/2008 Adina Mulliken) I attempted to use the ASCLA Think Accessible guidelines once by emailing them to a vendor when my library was considering buying a product. When I spoke with the customer service person later, they made it clear they did not understand the guidelines, but would talk with their IT staff. The representative then emailed to say the product was not “compliant” yet. I did not get answers to the specific questions in the guidelines.

I've gotten response from vendors for most of the following questions.

  • Is the product compliant with accessibility guidelines for people with disabilities such as Section 508 or Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) from WC3? If not, which guidelines within Section 508 or WCAG does it follow or not follow? For WCAG, what level? Have you filled out a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) to explain how your product complies with Section 508?
  • If the database includes full text, are the documents in pdf, html, or other formats? Especially if some of the full text is only in pdf, is it tagged to be accessible for text to speech synthesis software? (such as screen readers like Jaws and Window Eyes for vision impaired users and Kurzweil 3000 for people with learning disabilities)
  • If you do usability testing with users who have disabilities, could you tell us about it (which assistive technology or disabilities were included)?
  • Do the products have any other features that you think could be especially useful for some people with disabilities (such as spell checking)?

In my experience, customer service representatives usually need to check with their IT staff to find out about accessibility. I understand that compliance with accessibility guidelines is not necessarily enough to make a product reasonably functional for people with disabilities, and so user testing with people who have disabilities is important. I believe institutions need to find ways to do this (for our own websites as well as for resources from vendors). In the meantime, I've found that using the questions above has been a way to get started.

Liblicense's model license agreement- paragraph about accessibility

The Rehabilitation Act is also relevant to web accessibility and I am not sure why it is not included.

What is a Crack?
The word 'crack' in this context means the action of removing the copy protection from commercial software. A crack is a set of instructions or patch used to remove copy protection from a piece of software or to unlock features from a demo or time-limited trial. There are crack groups who work together in order to crack software, games, etc. If you search for Native Instruments Traktor Pro 2.5.1 Crack, you will often see the word 'crack' amongst the results which means it is the full version of the product.
What is a Serial?
The word 'serial' means a unique number which identifies the license of the software as being valid. All retail software uses a serial number or key of some form. The installation often requires the user to enter a valid serial number to proceed. A serial can also be referred to as a 'CD Key'. When you search for Native Instruments Traktor Pro 2.5.1 Serial for example, you may find the word 'serial' amongst the results. This usually means your software download includes a serial number of some sort.
What is a Keygen?
The word 'keygen' means a small program that can generate a cd key, activation number, license code, serial number, or registration number for a piece of software. KeyGen is a shortened word for Key Generator. A keygen is made available through crack groups free to download. When writing a keygen, the author will identify the algorithm used in creating a valid cd key. Once the algorithm is identified they can then incorporate this into the keygen. If you search a download site for Native Instruments Traktor Pro 2.5.1 Keygen, this often means your download includes a keygen.

Hides 5 1 – Keep A Squeaky Clean Workspace App

NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Friday asked the Delhi University why it felt 'threatened' by the judicial order reconstituting its Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) by adding two lawyers. Keep Yourself Squeaky Clean Shower at least once a day, and you'll wash away sweat and get rid of some of the bacteria on your skin. Visit the App Store to see all our apps.

Ever wonder how your office always turns out so sleek and shiny? Here are some janitorial cleaning tips straight from the experts!

1. Manage the energy you use.

The first of our janitorial cleaning tips comes from Varsity Facility Services, who remind us that sustainability is everyone’s responsibility—including a janitorial services company. They suggest using red, green, and yellow dots on equipment to tell your cleaners which machines can be turned off after hours, which to keep on all the time, and which to confirm with the client. Since cleaners tend to be the last people in the building, they’ll be the last line of defense against wastefully running machines all night that don’t need to be on.

2. Provide sanitizers throughout the office.

A blog from iNX Building Maintenance Services offer some timely flu prevention tips, like disinfecting workspaces and placing hand sanitizers throughout the office. They also make a valid point that cleaning supplies should be in constant supply during cold and flu months. In smaller offices, this can be a great bonus offering or an upsell for clients, to keep these supplies available and stocked.

3. Finishing floors is an art as much as a science.

If you have a big floor care project ahead of you, heed one of the janitorial cleaning tips from the folks at OctoClean: Take your time. If you rush through a floor finishing job, your mistakes will show through more obviously than you might think. The most valuable tool in your cleaning arsenal is patience.

Make checklists and track your progress with Janitorial Manager. Schedule a free demo right now to find out more!

4. Use a Neutral (ph7) cleaner for floors.

According to the CleanFreak blog, “PH matters when it comes to cleaning solutions. Neutral (7 on the pH scale) is the most gentle solution, and there are many neutral cleaners that can be used on a variety of floors that just have foot traffic that needs to be cleaned up.”

5. Break the routine, especially in restrooms.

CleanLink’s janitorial cleaning tips relate to a routine. “Cleaning professionals often develop cleaning habits—especially in restrooms—cleaning counters and fixtures in the same way, etc. Seasonal transitions call for taking a fresh look at restroom cleaning procedures and adopting some new technologies, products, and methods where appropriate.”

6. Encouraging filing as you go.

Emilie Sennebogen points out that, “One of the biggest office offenders is piles of paper…The key is to process papers as you go. Set up a system of trays or file folders that are clearly labeled and make it a habit to use them.” Since you’re not the boss, you might offer advanced organizing services as part of your package to keep certain areas tidy, like filing rooms.

7. Don’t forget the basics.

Tidying magazines in the waiting room, dusting window blinds, and cleaning scuff marks are all important parts of keeping a squeaky clean office. Pulltube video downloader 0 11 6 download free gamejolt.

8. Give things a home.

G&C Commercial Cleaning suggests allocating a place to all of your things and labeling those areas to make sure you put things back where they belong. Before you begin with a client, go room to room in the office making mental notes and making labeling suggestions so that the client can work toward their own tidiness as well.

9. Clean the electronics.

Indispensable among janitorial cleaning tips is to remember to wipe down desktop electronics. Phone handsets especially are magnets for bacteria and germs.

10. Clean the fridge without the chemicals.

For more sensitive offices, or for those who want the greenest clean possible, use distilled white vinegar instead of bleach to scrub mold and mildew from fridge shelves.

11. Don’t forget the walls.

Jack’s Maintenance Service reminds us that walls are a part of commercial spaces, too! Especially in offices, where walls tend to be white or other light colors, visible dirt builds up over time. Jack’s says to add the walls to your cleaning schedule. (It lengthens the life of wallpaper and paint, too!)

12. Change those mop heads.

Does the office smell like a wet dog when you’re done? Before pointing the finger at the office canine, Janiking says to take a sniff of the mop closet. You might be unpleasantly surprised at what you find.

13. Dust from top to bottom.

What goes up must come down. Make sure you take care of higher surfaces first, so you don’t end up cleaning the same surfaces three or four times.

14. Go in with a strategy.

You make plans to organize yourself personally and professionally, why not do the same for your workspace? Busy Bee Cleaning services says, “focus on the areas which are used the most, and therefore receive the highest amounts of traffic. During office building cleaning, owners should pinpoint the areas in which customers spend the greatest amounts of time. In most cases, cleaning a reception area, bathroom, and other similar spaces should be of utmost importance when it comes to office cleaning.”

15. Install mats at all entrances.

Another bit of advice from CleanLink is to install mats wherever there are entrances to the workspace. Mats help collect dirt, snow, and other debris before it ends up on the office floor.

16. Don’t forget to deodorize!

Hides 5 1 – Keep A Squeaky Clean Workspace Apps

This tip from BBC Cleaning Service is for the fridge, but feel free to use it elsewhere. Whether using a green or natural product or a traditional chemical, it’s important that the final product smell as clean as it is! For the fridge, BBC says, “For extreme leftover smells, combine coffee grounds and baking soda in a bowl and leave it in the fridge for a while. It will smell great afterward.”

Firmware downloads are exclusively available from within OpenTX Companion’s “Download” dialog. OpenTX Companion needs to be configured for the proper radio type and with the firmware options you choose, so that a customised firmware file with these options can be prepared for you by our build server and downloaded to your PC. OpenTX Companion is then used to load the firmware to your radio.
PLEASE NOTE that the firmware you run on the radio and companion you use on the PC to edit settings must be of the same branch!

Sound packs

Sound packs can be downloaded either through companion (the Download dialog will point you to the correct directory for the selected radio type), or from the links below:

About OpenTX versions

OpenTX versions are delivered as sets of major and minor releases. Major releases represent big steps with lots of feature changes and new functionality, which require changes in the way model data is stored and thus breaks compatibility with the previous one. Minor releases within a major one will fix bugs, correct functionality that needs changes, add new functionality that doesn’t require breaking compatibility, or remove features that are deemed useless.

As we are dependent on user feedback, a major release will start as “unstable” and will go through several rounds of refinement based on the gathered user experiences, which can initially cause radical changes in the way a feature operates between minor versions. Once things have settled and we have decent documentation available that major version will become “stable” i.e. its features will be frozen, and from that moment on any new minor versions would only be released to fix bugs that may be discovered.

We recommend “normal users” not to jump on a new major revision straight away as following the minor revisions of an unstable branch requires careful attention to the changelog to find out about things that may have changed and could potentially break existing setups, and documentation is usually not ready yet. They should thus stick with “stable” versions. Advanced users who want to be on the bleeding edge, want to provide feedback and/or suggest modifications, can find their way without documentation and can follow the evolution closely are welcome to do so during the unstable period, of course at their own risk.

Currently, the supported major versions of OpenTX are:

  • OpenTX 2.2
  • OpenTX 2.3

Major releases are independent, OpenTX companion 2.0.x will download firmware 2.0.x, OpenTX companion 2.1.x will download firmware 2.1.x etc. Updates between major versions are manual, you need to download the required companion yourself, no updates will be automatically offered. When upgrading from one major version to the next it is recommended to backup both your current firmware and settings, and to thoroughly check all of your models’ functions still operate correctly after the built-in upgrade procedure has completed. Downgrading models and settings is not possible, so should you want to switch back to an older major version you will need to either reload your backup or start from scratch again.

You can check the release history of OpenTX on this page.
